Reaction of wild solanaceae species to Meloidogyne incognita

The quest for resistance sources against Meloidogyne incognita as a control measure is essential in tomato. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the reaction of six species wild solanaceae M. incognita. studied were Solanum capsicoides, S. asperolanatum, americanum, viarum, palinacanthum and Nicandra physaloides. Seedlings transplanted inoculated with experiment was performed completely randomized design eight replicates. analyzed variables were: height aerial portion, fresh weight length root system, gall index, number galls/g root, egg masses/g eggs/g nematode reproduction factor.
